The Silver Lining: 17/365

As the parents stood in the freezing cold rain waiting for our children, we all discussed our dismay for the weather. "It's so cold and miserable." "I'd rather it be snowing." "You can't even do anything in this weather. Just nap." The kids were dismissed; I handed my girl an umbrella and she grabbed it with sheer delight. As we walked to the car she shrieked, "Look how beautiful this umbrella is when you spin it!" I couldn't help but smile. Here the adults are being grumping and negative and then here is this little 3 year old finding pure joy in the crummy weather.

These little people seem to teach me huge life lessons daily; if I just pay attention.
