Erika + Kyle {Married}!: Woodstone Country Club Wedding

Erika and Kyle. Where, oh where, do I begin. In Erika and Kyle's engagement post, I talked about how Erika and I met and we were just destined to know each other and work together. Since that post, we've continued to be in touch, more and more as their wedding day approached. So, for the past year, Erika and I have been in regular contact with building anticipation of this amazing day.

Erika was incredibly detail oriented for her wedding day. I mean, she totally has a calling to be a wedding planner ;). She had the schedules set out perfectly, colors, small details and picked absolutely fabulous vendors. The day came, and as all wedding days do, it flew by. Planning was so perfect we all expected something to go a wry, but no. It stayed perfect. Just perfect. And like that, it's done. I'm so incredibly thrilled with how their pictures turned out. It totally, completely tells their story... and it goes a little something like this:

The guys. What a phenomenal group of guys! They got ready in "the man cave" at Woodstone and my fabulous second shooter, Caren of CAG photography captured them perfectly!

Erika's dad was so fun. I love this picture!

I wasn't here for this speech and have no idea what was said, but from what I can tell, each guy had a little something to say and there were definitely tears involved. What a bunch of love bugs. How awesome to have such a great group of friends by your side on your wedding day.

The gift! Erika told me about this gift a while ago and was SO excited for Kyle to open it. So, Erika, here you go. This is how it went down!

Oh the dresses. Erika did such a fabulous job coordinating and focusing on details. The hangers... they even have bows! I mean it's just amazing!

What was really fun about this "getting ready" was that these ladies had only ever seen pictures of Erika's dress. They had never seen her in it, so Erika planned a big first look for all of her leading ladies. So the ladies hung out downstairs while they were banned from Erika's room while she got all dolled up. Love!

The only people in the room when Erika got dressed were her mom, mother in law, her awesome videographer and myself. Any way a bride chooses to get ready is wonderful, but this was so sweet and quiet and relaxed. I loved it.

Impeccable. I actually don't think she could have looked more stunning if she tried. Kyle's a lucky guy!

The reveal. Ohmygosh! Start getting your tissues ready because from here on, you'll be experience a flood of emotions throughout the post. It started when her ladies saw her for the first time. Take a minute to really see everyone's faces. It was such a magical, special moment!

Followed by seeing their flowers for the first time. The flowers were quite possibly some of the most beautiful arrangements I have ever seen. Holy smokes! Stunning.

Now, it was Erika's turn to open her gift and read her groom's hand written letter. Oh this couple... you guys really put a lump in my throat!

They both got each other watches. How cute! My favorite, "Kyle Michael... you didn't!" So adorable.

And then the first look with her daddy. Ugh... I'm getting choked up here.

Their ceremony was a Catholic Mass which is near and dear to my heart. Marriage is such an incredible sacrament. Plus, the Mass is long enough that it gives you time to get some more pictures! Ha!

The ceremony was stunning. The music was just phenomenal; I actually am at a loss for words in how to explain it. There were strings playing gorgeous music as guests arrived and the organist/vocalist was just as angelic. So beautiful.

The most important part of the ceremony, Father Lamb. When Erika and Kyle booked their wedding day, this church had a different pastor. A couple months ago, there was a change in pastors... eek! Don't you know that the new pastor is the priest from Erika's childhood? If that's not fate, I don't know what is. So, when the priest knows you personally, it adds a whole new dimension to the ceremony. He did an outstanding job.

Had to get a picture of the socks!

This bridal party is top notch. Seriously awesome.

Erika, Kyle and their party were so stinking photogenic! If it was cooler out and we had another hour, I could have had a field day with them! Ohmygosh. They were just so fun, and happy, and funny, and just plain wonderful.

Aside from making her best friend her husband, THIS moment was the most anticipated moment for Erika. She worked diligently for a year to put all of these details together. She wanted her own private reveal to see everything pulled together before the doors were opened for cocktail hour. It was such a special moment. We were walking around together and she said "I'm sorry, but I nailed this!" Yes, yes you did, Erika! Take a look.

For cocktail hour, Erika and Kyle were adamant about spending it with their family. I loved that. They had great food and even a quartet! This may easily have been the most fun I've ever seen at a cocktail hour!

Now begins the party. Oh.my.gosh. OHmygosh. Best party ever. Even their entrance was one of the best I've ever seen. Who knew Kyle had so many moves! (Okay, probably everyone there, but I didn't see it coming! ha!)

Another spectacular detail. The first dance. They had a "dancing on the clouds" effect and it was literally magical. I know I've used that word a few times already, but it just was! So romantic!

Blessing and speeches. Lots of laughs and tears. Even me! Every guest was captivated. Let's be honest, how often does that happen? This couple is so loved; and I see why!

The parent dances were also special... they chose to share them with their guests. It was so sweet!

A super sweet cake cutting...

The garter and bouquet tosses. Where do I begin?? These two parts of the night can sometimes be a little bit of a flop, but always fun, no less. Well, I can unquestionably state that this will always be the best garter and bouquet toss I've ever seen. I just can't imagine it being any funnier. Kyle was absolutely hysterical seducing his bride. I think everyone blushed. It may or may not have included a lap dance and his head under her dress. I'll leave you guessing. Ha! It was one of the most entertaining parts of the night, without a doubt. Bravo, you two!

I reluctantly stole the two away for some late sun pictures. How could I not take advantage of pretty sun and a golf course?! I'm so glad we ran outside for a few minutes because the shots I got are some favorites <3.

The rest of the night was just a constant party between the fabulous DJ and incredible wedding guests. I couldn't take enough pictures! The dancing was non-stop and it was top notch. The limbo at the end was some of the best. I mean seriously. It was one hell of a party.

And finally, a surprise for all guests, a firework send off. It was truly a spectacular night.

Kyle and Erika, I don't know where to begin. A year ago, I was in the very beginning of my wedding photography journey. You put your trust in me. You have been my cheerleaders and supporters the whole way and continue to be. Where ever I go on this photography venture, you'll always be at the foundation. To say "thank you" is simply not enough. You weren't just another couple for me, you became friends and hope to continue to know you and photograph your lives as you grow.

Your wedding day was simply perfect. The love you two share is special and it shows. It spilled out from your souls into the entire day. You have a night you will remember forever and ever. I'm beyond thrilled and honored that I was the one who was able to document this time in your lives. Thank you. Thank you. My many blessings and congratulations to you as the new Mr. & Mrs. XO
