Engagement Photography Session: Historic Bethlehem

This engagement photography session took place in historic Bethlehem, and I'm SO glad. Brittany and Kevin hired me a few months ago; they knew I was due to have a baby in October, but wanted to still have their engagement session in October. Based on how I was feeling and how my last pregnancy went (wonderful!) I felt it could work, but we all knew there was a chance we'd have to reschedule. WELL! Unbeknownst to me when we scheduled our October session, that same date happened to be moving day. Oh well! I wasn't any help anyway, so no biggie. As the date approached, I was more and more nervous. I just KNEW I wasn't going to make it to my due date. With that, and then a forecast of rain, we chose to reschedule. Such a bummer! We had planned to have the session at Monocacy Creek Park since Bethlehem was having their fall festival the day of our scheduled session. I felt horrible that we had to cancel, but I always tell my clients, since it's always true, that the rescheduled date is always so worth it and ends up being better than the original date. This theory remains true!

I didn't realize how much history Brittany and Kevin have in Bethlehem! Their session definitely was meant to happen on these streets... reason number 1 the rescheduled date was better. Reason number 2, we had a GORGEOUS autumn afternoon. The colors, the sun... okay, it was freezing, but so beautiful. Every time I look at their session I swoon!

We started at Steelgarden where Brittany and Kevin met. Then moved to Brittany's old apartment door next to Apollo where Kevin popped the question, and then roamed Main St. and the creek to get some really amazing images of their love for one another.

To say I'm excited for their October Bear Creek wedding would be an understatement!! Congratulations you two!!
