The Harris Family: Lake Nockamixon, Quakertown

Heather and I grew up in the same neighborhood and have kept in touch through the years. She asked if I could take some updated photos of her family, which I was more than happy to do! We decided on shooting at Lake Nockamixon. It's my third time shooting at this park and I'm beginning to like it more and more. It's just beautiful! It's also quite fitting considering Brian is a fisherman!

Brian and Heather welcomed their beautiful boy, Colin, into the world this past October. Isn't he just the cutest?! I took a few newborn pictures of him when he was just a couple weeks old, which was also the last time I saw him. I can't believe how much he's grown! He's sitting up, crawling, and laughing. Babies just amaze me.

Clearly, the grass was very tempting for a 9 month old.

I always ask my clients if there are any specific shots they want. Brian and Heather are very laid back, so it didn't surprise me when Heather shrugged her shoulders and said "Nah, just some family pictures!" Then, she told me that Brian has a new game with Colin where he throws him up in the air, and Colin just loves it. She wanted a picture of that... ohmygosh was that fun to capture! I know Brian's shoulders hurt, but I couldn't get enough, and I don't think Colin could either!

During family shoots, I think it's always nice to get shots with just mom and just dad.

In almost every photo shoot, I get a "feet shot." I just l.o.v.e. them.

We grabbed a few more family shots with the marina in the background.

When we were packing up, Brian wanted to try and get a shot of them with Colin's feet in the water, so we walked to an area that was easy to access. Of course, they are some of my favorite shots!

Brian and Heather, thanks so much for having me capture your beautiful family!
