The Corcoran Family: A mini session at home

My brother and his fiance welcomed a little boy into the world on October 4th. His name is Caleb Lawrence; the middle name being after my mom's dad. I am beyond happy for them. Not only because it's my brother, but because Dustin and I are only six months ahead of them in this parenthood thing. I never expected Hannah to have a cousin close in age on my side of the family.... yet, here he is! My mom, Hannah and I went down to meet Caleb for a short visit last week. While I was there, my brother handed me a National Geographic magazine opened to a certain page. He commented that he never gets this magazine, and found it ironic that he happened to pick up the issue that had this article.  Essentially, it talks about America's changing face with so many more multiracial people. The confined census boxes are simply going to have to change! Caleb is a perfect example of what this article discusses. He's a perfectly gorgeous Indonesian/Irish/Italian baby. See for yourself...

I just love the black and whites! I have to say, this was a super quick photo shoot. My sugar was dropping, Safira didn't feel well (obviously!) and Caleb wasn't interested in getting into any crazy positions. It was also one of the worst lighting situations I've ever dealt with... I actually ended up using my flash, which I never use. We made it work though!

Here are a few of the beautiful family...

Congratulations Michael and Safira! Enjoy this time... even the sleepless nights, the blowouts, and the crying fits. It goes SO fast. Love you!
