Lehigh Valley Newborn Photographer: At Home

This newborn photography session is one that's near and dear to my heart! This mama and I met when her oldest boy was only a few months old. We've been closely connected every since through the awesomeness of motherhood. Even more exciting, our second babies are also only a few months apart. So, when she asked to purchase a year package to document her newest baby's newborn, six month and 1 year sessions, I couldn't have been more thrilled. I got to watch her oldest grow through my lens at his one year session and their announcement session (I did 6 month pictures for him, too that aren't blogged. Wah!). And now, I get to watch her second baby grow through my lens! Nothing better! Doing a lifestyle and portrait newborn session back to back is.... well, it's long. Add a toddler in there and know that you need breaks. What I loved though, is that the breaks were a part of their session and added into their lifestyle shoot. I honestly don't think there's anything better than having your real life and real moments captured. It's so genuine. Though the little snacks, or the nursing breaks are fleeting, they're the ones to remember. They may not all be shared in this post, but I'm so thrilled that this family let me continue to capture all of these special moments for them. After so many photo shoots with me, they've become EJP naturals :P.

For this little guy's portrait session, I coined him "mama's boy." The bond between this boy and his mama is one I can't articulate and it's so special to see. He hardly wanted to be away from her and stay sleepy for me! We got some super fun shots and eventually got some sleepy ones, too. Even without sleeping a lot for me, he was so incredibly content and alert the entire time. Such a wonderful little model.

Congratulations to this special family. I'm beyond excited to see you in front of my lens in six months!
