Hank Turns 1!: At Home
This first birthday shoot is a little more special to me. Hannah and I have grown to know and love Hank (and his mama!) over the past year. It's been such a joy watching him reach his milestones and grow into this adorable, charismatic, loving little guy. I've also been so fortunate to be the photographer to capture these milestones (and, lucky me, so many of the first birthday shoots I'm doing have the same story! Hannah and I are beyond blessed to have so many friends in our lives). Jill wanted to try and recreate some of the shots we did for his 6 month shoot to see how he's grown. So, here they are side by side just for fun!
It's so fun to see how much he's grown. And cuter than ever!
For his session, Jill immediately explained how she was completely unprepared. She underestimates herself. She had outfits picked out and all of the ideas lined up. I hardly had to do any thinking... just shooting! We incorporated his different birthday outfits, family heirlooms, favorite toys, and Hank simply being himself doing his everyday. I just love how his images turned out.
I love this set of three. It captures little pieces of Hank. Walking, a little temper tantrum (seriously so cute!) and he LOVES holding things with handles right now. A-dorable.
We, of course, squeezed in some mommy moments... they're my favorite.
What a contrast! Hey, it's his party and he can cry if he wants to. :)
I love the picture below. It's really beautiful in black and white too, but I just love his eyes!! Had to show them off.
The last image is special one just for his mom.
Hank, I can't wait to see what the next year brings for you and to continue to watch you and Hannah grow as little friends!! xo
